See the difference with Avène Cleanance

It should come as no surprise that Eau Thermale Avène is one of my all time favorite skin care brands. I have written about them countless of times, carry at least one of their products in my hand bag (with more in my car) and recommend the brand to anyone who will listen (just try shopping with me at Clicks or Dis-Chem). The brand has recently come out with two new products in their Cleanance range and I am simply loving them both. If you suffer with acne-prone of oily skin, then this one’s for you.

The Avène Cleanance range is specifically developed to cleanse, moisturise and purify acne prone and oily skin. The two new offerings in this range is the Cleanance Micellar Water and the Mask Scrub.

Micellar waters are perhaps my favorite beauty product so I was quite excited to try this one. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning as I found that the face wash in this range made my breakouts significantly worse (I now use a drop of it as the last step in washing my makeup brushes as it makes them squeaky clean). However, both the micellar water and mask works wonderfully and leaves my skin feeling fresh and and super clean.

If you suffer with sensitive, acne prone or oily skin, then I would highly recommend you give this product a try. It cleanses skin by effectively removing makeup and impurities. It also works to regulate sebum, purify the skin and, with the addition of the Avène spring water, it provides a luxurious soothing effect. What I particularly love about it is that it mattifies the skin without leaving you feeling dry and ashy.

The Cleanance Mask is quite interesting as it is a dual action mask-scrub that exfoliates, mattifies and purifies the skin. Enriched with soft clay, it unblocks pores and reduces blemishes by absorbing excess oils. Simply apply the mask to cleansed skin and leave on for 10 minutes. Either spray some Avène thermale spring water over the top or use water to gently rub the mask into your skin, activating the micro-particles to unclog pores. Almost immediately after washing the mask off your face, your skin is visibly purified, clearer and softer.

Micellar water retails for R299.95 and the mask, for R249.95

Both products can be found at Clicks or Dis-Chem stores nationwide.
