Rimmel recently launched the new Kate Moss Nude Collection and no one knows better than Kate that neutrals create a gorgeous and understated look, transcending day to night and demure to sexy. What’s more, there is a perfect, flattering nude for Each and Every skin tone – perfect for boosting your natural glamour.
Inspired by the catwalk and her own timeless sense of style, the Nude Collection By Kate Moss offers delicate pinks, subtle apricots, cashmere beige’s and rich toffee tones which suit just about any skin color.
“I want every girl to feel great in her own skin and find her prefect nude. Makeup is all about having fun and experimenting with both natural looks and red carpet glamour. But, for this collection, I really wanted to go back to basics, so I have designed a perfect palette of nudes to suit everyone. I think we’ve truly got a shade for every Rimmel girl.” – Kate
I personally hardly wear any nail polish simply because I feel quite odd in it. The only time I really put some on is if they fall under a nude category or if I am testing them but other than that, I can’t really do the everyday nail polish (besides, I definitely am NOT going to be wearing nail-polish when I have to make wudhu five times a day:))
However, I quite like this range and it will probably be the only nail polish that I actually keep as it looks quite understated and is easy to apply. My favorite from the range is the one in the middle and is in the shade ‘mystify me’ which is a sort of beige-grey. The polishes contain Lycra which basically means that you will get a long lasting, salon like gel finish that offers 10 days worth of chip resistant color. There are 5 nail colors in the collection and each retail for R59.95 which is definitely worth it (and this coming from a nail polish shy girl).
The lipsticks in the range are on another level of their own! There are 6 shades new shades, each of which were designed by Kate herself. They have a high intensity color formula but apply quite sheer. The colors are quite buildable but not enough that you can get an opaque look as they are quite buttery soft. They glide on the lips easily and smell quite yummy too! My favorites are #46 and #48 which are an olive nude and dark nude but I only use them for a very soft wash of color as my lips are quite dark.
They retail for around R89.95 each and can be found at all the usual stores such as Dischem and Clicks.
All in all I think the collection is quite lovely if you are into wearing nude shades and if they suit you. Its also really well priced which is always a winner! The formulas are top notch and I love the soft pink packaging which looks really chic!
