GOSH haulin’

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of GOSH makeup, especially the BOOMBASTIC mascara (which every mascara wearing girl needs to get!). Today I have 5 new products to share with you which includes two eyeshadow palettes, a mascara, an eyeliner and a lip colour… spoiler: they are all pretty darn good!

First up is the No Limit Lash Mascara which gives volume, definition and length. The brush is quite different to other brushes which meant that the first time I used it, I managed to give myself a nice ol’ poke in the eye. Thankfully I seem to have the hang of it now though! It applies quite spidery at first but after you layer it on a few times, you lashes become fuller and thicker looking and it looks much longer. What I didn’t really like is that it looks a bit clumpy after the 5th layer so you need to comb through the lashes to ensure that they don’t stick together too much. I do however love the fact that you don’t need to use an eyelash curler with this formulation as it gives a nice curl to the lash which seriously lasts all darn day. Even though the formula is not waterproof (boo), it doesn’t budge very easily and I need to use coconut oil at least two to three times in order to ensure that it is really gone which to me, is really great.

Up next is the Extreme Liquid Gel Eyeliner in black which happily enough, is waterproof! I am not a huge fan of  gel eyeliners as I always seem to mess up the application due to those annoying brushes but interestingly enough, this one comes with a felt tip applicator which gives you so much more freedom and movability. When you apply it, it looks quite glossy but dries to a dark matte after a few seconds and then does.not.budge. In fact, the formula is so budge proof that it too takes a few wipes with coconut oil to get off which I will admit, is a little annoying to do when I just want to curl up in bed and sleep. I haven’t yet tested it out in the pool but I am 100% sure that it will stay on after a good few laps. I also really like using it if I want to make a feline flick (which is a lot to say since I only trust the Essence eyeliner when I need to do to that).

Then, the two eye shadow palettes I got are the Smokey Eyes Palette in 02 Brown (that’s the square one in the picture above) and the Quattro Eyeshadow in Driftwood. Both are the standard four shades for a smokey eye and the colours are similar yet different. Each shade in the one palette is just another colour in the same spectrum, in the other palette (if that makes any sense at all?).  however, the only difference between the two is that the Quattro palette has a bit of shimmer in it while the other is more matte. Both palettes are buttery soft and so easy to apply. They also give a good smokey eye and last for a good few hours without disappearing away. I love using the lighter shade in the round one as a highlighter and the lighter shade in the square one under my eyes to set my concealer. Multipurpose, easy to use and the neutral colours make these a definite win!

Finally, the Forever Lip Shine in Spring Fling has found a permanent place in my handbag. I actually emptied out four of my bags that I used this past week just to find out which one I left it in before I typed this blog post! It’s a fuss free, easy to apply wash of colour that wakes up my complexion. I don’t apply it full on as I find that it is quite pigmented so instead, apply a very light layer and spread it all over to look like a stain. It looks quite glossy full on but tones down to a beautiful matte when you have it as a stain, which I really like. It also has a pleasant smell and gives a good amount of colour that lasts… that’s for a ‘gloss’ at least.

And that’s it for my GOSH haul, do let me know if you try any of the products!
