When choosing what to wear for the day, the ‘less is more’ mantra plays over and over in my head. I am not one for piling on the jewellery or wearing out there hues but on the rare occasion where a beautifully created garment catches my eye, I know that I simply have no choice but to grab it and share it’s magic with all of you.

This past weekend I went to Kirstenbosch (which is one of my favorite spots in Cape Town) for the morning. We have been trying to go every Saturday for the past three weeks and haven’t managed due to the impromptu rains and wind that Cape Town keeps bringing out. Last Saturday however was a balmy +25 degrees which meant that I not only got to go and see the nine anatomically correct dinosaurs placed among the almost extinct cycads in the garden, but I also got to do an impromptu photo shoot. Four of the featured dinosaurs are indigenous to South Africa and are designed in tin by Zimbabwean artist, David Huni.
