Known for taking place throughout summer in some of Cape Town\u2019s most spectacular locations, the Galileo is the perfect setting for a beautiful night out with family or friends, and that is exactly what I got!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Because the doors open at 6pm, you get quite a nice amount of time to soak in the surrounding mountain, reserve your spot, chat to the staff and grab something to eat, which for me, was a huge serving of Nacho\u2019s from the Mexican Nacho guy. There was also artisanal pizza, a burger stand and a few other foodie stalls but the Nacho place was the only halaal one so naturally we had that. I never knew that you could bring your own food in which was a slight bummer but happily enough, I was quite filled up on a large bag of popcorn (that did not want to end) and those nachos.<\/p>\n<p>The movie of the night was the Sci-Fi \u201cIn Time\u201d which my date and I both quite enjoyed. We were a bit concerned about the weather as Cape Town was ridiculously windy that day but Kirstenbosch showed off and was utterly perfect with gorgeous weather and a beautiful, starry sky.<\/p>\n<p>The cinema travels weekly between Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville, Kirstenbosch Gardens and the V&amp;A Waterfront and plays an array of movies from old time classics, adventure flicks and romantic comedies. The travelling cinema will now also pop up once a month at selected venues in the Winelands so you seriously do not have any excuse to miss it.<\/p>\n<p>What I loved most about it was definitely the friendly and heart-warming vibe that penetrates through the night. All of the staff were also exceptionally amazing and really took the time to get to know each person \u00a0while making sure that all was comfortable and happy.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets start at R70, with the highest being R95 (includes a backrest and blanket). I definitely recommend taking the R95 ticket as it makes the experience all the more relaxing.
