We recently had a little getaway to the picturesque town of Swellendam and spent a few nights at the EcoTreehouse – a spacious and fully equipped, self-catering cabin for the perfect retreat in nature.
It should come as no surprise that I am a big advocate for holistic healing. After suffering with a chronic disorder for a good few years and then realising that the pain medication I was being pumped with did more harm than good, I decided to take things into my own hands and visit a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Doctor at the Tibb Centre and have never looked back.
Stress, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia… these are signs from our bodies that we need to slow down and smell the roses which, more often than not, we choose to ignore. I once read a quote that said ‘health is a crown worn by the healthy that only the sick can see’ and it is because of this quote that I was inspired to start my Wellness Series that have been in plan for the past few months. Two nights ago I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Galileo Open Air Cinema at Kirstenbosch Gardens in Newlands. Known for taking place throughout summer in some of Cape Town’s most spectacular locations, the Galileo is the perfect setting for a beautiful night out with family or friends, and that is exactly what I got!
