*Grab a cup of tea and get comfortable, this is going to be a long one.
While for some time, my Fibromyalgia pain and symptoms have been somewhat under control, about 2 months ago, I started feeling worse than ever. It eventually got so bad that my pain level reminded me of what it felt like when I just got diagnosed 9 years ago. An increase in insomnia, stress, pain and inflammation were the most prominent and, under all of that, lurked the smaller symptoms like headaches, dizziness, fatigue and difficulty walking. I knew it was time to visit Dr. Graham for a follow up and, since that day, have felt like a shiny, brand new person.
For as long as I can remember, boxing was a workout I was always eager to try. While I could never quite find the right class to suit my schedule, my ears always picked up at the slightest mention of boxing and, when my friends Farhaaz and Rashied started offering classes, I knew that I could finally fulfil this goal with the help of two really great trainers.
If you want to find out how I eased up my acne and got my energy back then grab a cup of tea, this is going to be a long one…
About two months ago, I had my very first consultation with Dr Graham Duncombe at Skin Renewal Cape Quarter to discuss my skin and ever worsening Fibromyalgia symptoms. I have heard quite a bit about him from the brand itself and, when I mentioned his name to many of the therapists, they all nodded and noted that he was, to put it mildly, one of the best. For the past 6 years now, I have been struggling with random bouts of acne which, now that I think about it, began just after I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. However, it was only after meeting Dr Graham when I realised that the two might be connected.
It should come as no surprise to the majority of you that for the past seven years, I have been suffering with a musculoskeletal disorder called Fibromyalgia which, if I have to sum it all up, means that I experience constant discomfort and pain all over my body.
Many of you who have been reading my blog for ages will know that I suffer with a disorder called Fibromyalgia. I have been wanting to make a video about this for the longest time but always stopped due to nerves. I finally uploaded my video today after ages of procrastination and wanted to share it with you all first.
Do let me know what you think and be sure to share my story if you or anyone you know suffers with this disorder.
