Carrying on from my post yesterday about my first DermaPen treatment with Dr Leila Sadien, I decided to do another, focusing on her. One doesn’t always know what to expect when you go to a new doctor and with this post, I hope you all see just how amazing Dr Leila is which hopefully will inspire you to book an appointment with her!
It should come as no surprise that for the last 4 ½ years, I have been suffering with a disability called fibromyalgia. I have in the past, titled many posts about this topic as I shared my journey of self-discovery through it, my experience, my thoughts, my low points, my motivations and my symptoms. For those of you who don’t know, Fibromyalgia is a disorder with a throng of symptoms. One of the main one’s however is pain.
I know I keep saying this but I seriously love this look below! I was pleasantly surprised to find that you could put together a good and quite decent formal (or in this case Eid) look together for guys with just two items from Cotton On! This shirt is really amazing and such a great quality and plus, it’s great if you looking to get a full outfit on a budget!
Myself and Forever New (one of my most favorite shops in the entire world) came together to put an Eid inspired look (forgive the redundancy) together as part of this little Ramadhaan and Eid series on my blog. Obviously, I knew that I would no doubt be able to create amazing outfit with wardrobe staples from the store that we all need in our lives, such as a bright coat, a fitted and seamless pants and a soft blouse. I topped the ensemble off with a scarf because I wanted at least one of the looks I done, to seem more realistic for the women who cover up and wear the hijab. If you not into the whole Hijab look as yet, then I tried my hand at making a (very wonky) turban as well, just so that you can see how to play around with it. The scarf is also nice and big so you could even wrap it around you like a shawl.
I really am such a fan of this look. I love how the different colours and textures come together so beautifully. Silk, knit, leather and tiny metal finishings make this outfit work and, I suppose that’s what fashion is all about -experimenting with different styles and ideas to create one complete look. But to me its more than just throwing something together. The right photographer and makeup artist are the true magicians here. I simply put the looks together and pose as they talk around me about the colour, temperature, exposure and light but without this team work consistent in my shoots, I would never be able to fully bring out the magic of an outfit.
