While I find myself admiring others who can pull off various styles of pants, I always seem to stick to one of my trusty skinny jeans which I wear almost all the time. When I saw this tapered pants in store, I immediately felt myself gravitate towards it and knew, without a doubt, that I had to get them.
My favorite thing about these Poetry Wren Tapered Pants are that they are super comfortable and look amazing with just about anything. They could be paired with various tops and t-shirts and almost any shoe style, from loafers to stilettos. I also love that they look wonderful with this Kylie Bishop Sleeve Blouse that I mentioned in my first post in this series. The versatility of both items, not forgetting these Rare Earth Sandals, prove once again, that you don’t need to spend a fortune on a new wardrobe and instead, can invest in a few key pieces each month until you have a wardrobe that works for you.
When Cape Town’s summer finally comes, I will be pairing these trousers with open flat sandals and a plain white t-shirt. Right now though, I am enjoying wearing them with loafers, a turtle neck and an oversized coat.
Poetry also has a few other trousers in various styles and colours but my favorites are these green Isla Trousers and these stripy Kiera Paperbag Trousers. While doing this series of posts has forced me to think about the kind of pieces one should invest in, it also challenged me to think of incorporating more colour into my wardrobe. Is it working? Well, let’s just say that I have never considered buying green trousers before!
