Finding the perfect foundation is something many of us struggle with and, even after all these years, I am yet to find a formulation I am 100% happy with. However, things took a turn for the best when Revlon launched their Colorstay foundation range which comes in 27 (TWENTY SEVEN!) different shades so you’re bound to find your perfect match.
Formulated for both normal to dry and combination to oily skin, the foundation has a 24 hour wear with an SPF 20. I particularly like the fact that it has a medium coverage which can easily be built up to full. The texture however is the winner as it’s soft, light and feels like water upon application. The formula dries to a breathable, dewy finish without any caking or oxidation and, because it’s quite thin, you don’t need a lot to cover your face. I usually take about a half pump on the back of my hand and work it into my cheeks with a small eye blending brush before buffing it into the rest of my face. I find that this method works best as most of my breakouts and pigmentation is on my cheeks and, by using a small brush for a more high coverage application, I am left with a smooth, even toned skin.
It costs R299.95 for 30ml and you can purchase it here from Dis-Chem. Pictured above is 008 in normal/dry and 006 in combination/oily.
